How to make magnetic shopping lists or memo pads that have pen holders

This guide will show you how to make magnetic shopping lists or memo pads that have a handy pen holder. You can stick it on your fridge or metal surface. It is a good way to use your junk mail, paper scraps and magnetic advertisements

Difficulty level: Beginners

Instructions:

Materials:
Junk mail
Scrap paper
Pen
Ruler
Scissors
Paper glue and white glue

Cut your scrap paper into strips 3 inch wide by 6 inches long.

You can use any length or width you want. Take into account that 1 inch of the paper length will be covered.

Cut stiff junk mail 2.5 inches longer

Glue the stiff junk mail that you just cut, to the bottom side of the decorative paper.
The decorative paper should be almost half the length of the junk mail strip.

You can cut off the decorative paper sticking out of the sides or fold it over and glue it in place.
Put it aside for now.

Align all the papers.
Fold 1 ¼ inches at the end of the note paper.

Make sure the paper is aligned.
Glue each paper, in the area above the crease you just made, to the paper below it.

Align the note paper to the bottom of the junk mail paper - The edge that does not have the decorative paper.
Put glue on the folded area and press it down in place.
