How to make an eight pointed star with the fan fold

This guide will show you how to fold eight squares of paper and glue them together to make an eight pointed star.

Difficulty level: Beginners

Instructions:

Materials:
8 squares of paper of equal size
Paper glue

Place the square paper with the points at the top, bottom and sides
Bring the top point down to the bottom point to fold it in half

Fold the bottom point up to the top edge

Result
unfold

Fold the top edge and the bottom point to the middle crease.

Result

Fold the bottom and the top edge to the middle again

Result

Unfold all the folds
Use the crease lines to make an accordion fold

Result
Make 7 more

Rotate 2 pieces.
Make sure the points of the end folds are sticking up.

Glue the 2 next to each other together

Put glue at the bottom point folds and squeeze the together

Repeat steps 11 and 12 for all the pieces
See in the picture that all the bottoms are glued together

Glue the last side folds together and your 8 pointed star is finished!

*You can make a 9 pointed star by gluing 9 pieces together the same way
