How to make heart decorations from paper strips

This guide will show you how to make heart decoration from strips of paper. You can make lots of cute little hearts or very large hearts to hang all over the place and show that love is in the air.

Difficulty level: Beginners

Instructions:

Materials:
Paper
Scissors
Paper glue
Hole puncher

Cut strips of paper 3/4 inch wide
2 strips 2 inches long
2 strips 2 ½ inches long
2 strips 3 ½ inches long

These measurements are for a small hanging heart. You can make the strips longer and wider just keep them in approximately the same proportions.

Take one of the smallest strips and glue then ends together. Do not crease the top - you need a loop.
Repeat on the second small strip.

Align the straight edges of the looped strips to the bottoms of the next largest strips and glue them in place – only on the bottom.

Bring the top of the strip down to the bottom and glue it to the edge of the looped strip.
Repeat on the other strip with the loop.

Align the straight edges with the last 2 strips and glue them in place- at the bottom only

Bring the top down and glue it to the bottom edge. Repeat on the second one.

Cut a strip 5 1/2 inches long and 1/2 inch wide. Punch a hole at the top.

You can make the strips shorter or longer for different effects.

Align and center the straight edge of the one of the looped strips you made to the bottom of the strip with the hole.
Glue it in place.

Glue the second looped strips to the back side of the strip with the hole.

That’s it very simple.
