How to make mandalas – crafts for children

There are different types of mandalas. This guide will show you how to make mandalas with geometric or kaleidoscope type patterns, using junk mail and paper scraps. This is a good craft for children but adults can enjoy it too.

Difficulty level: Beginners

Instructions:

Materials:
Assorted round objects to trace circles
1 square sheet of paper for the background
Junk mail and paper scraps of different colors
Scissors
Paper glue
Pencil or pen
Optional hole puncher

Gather different sizes and colors of junk mail and scrap paper

Gather different sized round objects to trace and make circles from.
The largest circle has to fit inside the background paper.

Trace the circles on the different colored paper scraps and cut out the circles.

When choosing the colors keep in mind that largest circle will be on the bottom and the others will be on top of each other in descending order.

Fold the circles in half, make a crease and unfold
