How to make an origami picture frame and a photo album

This guide will show you how to fold origami picture frames and how to connect them to make a decorative photo album.

Difficulty level: Beginners

Instructions:

Materials:
Square papers of identical size. They should be 4 X the size of the pictures you want to frame

Fold the paper in half each way. Do not crease, only pinch to mark the centers of the sides.

Fold the top and bottom edges to the center crease marks.

Fold the sides to the center.

Rotate the paper so that the short ends are at the top and bottom

Bring the right flap down at an angle to align with the center crease.

Do the same with the left flap

When you press them both down the top part will fold over
Press to flatten

Result
Repeat on the bottom side

Fold the left flap up to align with the center crease

Result

Stick a finger inside to seperate the layers of the flap.
Push down from the top to flatten it

Repeat steps 8 to 10 on the remaining 3 flaps
See the next picture for the result

Fold the inner tips of each flap to the corners

Result

Insert the corners of your picture into the corner pockets if you want to have a single picture frame

Continue to the next step to make an album.
