How to make Doughnuts

This guide will show you how to make tasty doughnuts with a glass and a bottle cap. They have no middle to worry about being undercooked and are a great alternative if you don't have yeast.
They taste great plain without icing but you can coat them with powdered sugar or your favorite icing.

Difficulty level: Advanced

Instructions:

Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
4 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 eggs
4 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
¾ cups milk
Oil for frying
a large glass and a bottle cap

Place the butter or margarine and the sugar in a mixer. Mix well.

Add the eggs and mix well

Add the remaining ingredients except the oil and mix well

Knead the dough a little on a floured surface to make it smooth.
Roll out some of the dough on a floured surface
Press a large glass into the dough to cut circles.

Press a bottle cap into the circles to cut out the centers

You can use the holes you just cut out to make little doughnut balls or press them together to roll out more doughnuts

Fry in medium low heated oil until the bottoms are light brown.
Test the heat on a hole to see if it is too hot.
They will fry fast but you do not want the oil so hot it burns before the inside is cooked or not hot enough that it gets soggy from being too long in the oil.

Flip over the doughnuts and fry the other side until light brown .
Place doughnuts on paper towels to absorb someof the oil
Sprinkle with powdered sugar or coat with icing
