This guide will show you how to fold a decorative origami box that has 2 colors.

Difficulty level: Beginners

Instructions:

Materials:
2 square pieces of paper of equal size
each a different color

Fold the paper in half horizontally and unfold

Fold the paper in half vertically and unfold

Bring the bottom edge up to the center crease.

Result

Flip the paper over to the back side with the folded edge on top

Bring the bottom edge up to the crease mark

Fold the corners up so that their bottom edges align with the top of the top layer
Give them a very sharp crease and unfold them

Pull out the flap and reverse the folds of the crease on the corners that you just made
Press them in place

Fold the top corners down so they align with the center crease

Bring the top down to fold in half and make a crease.
Unfold

Bring it down again but insert it into the pocket made by the layer.
Be sure that it is on top of the inverted corner triangles you made in step8. This will hold them in place

Fold the top right side down at the center crease.

Result
Fold down the other side

Make very sharp creases.
Unfold

Flip the paper to the back and repeat steps 11 to 13

Lift and spread the layers.

Adjust the sides so that they come up at the creases
You are finished with this paper.

Do the second paper the same way.

Place the second piece into the first so that the longer and shorter edges are in other corners.
Make sure the bottoms are aligned

Press down firmly and your box is finished!
