This is a continuation of how to make and eight petal dish or 8 petal picture frame

Difficulty level: Advanced

Instructions:

Take a small square and fold in half vertically, unfold and then in half horizontally and unfold

Flip paper over to the back side.
Place the points at the top, bottom and sides.

Fold in half horizontally and unfold.
Fold in half vertically and unfold.

Flip paper over again

Pinch and squeese all the diagonal folds.
The horizontal folds will collapse inward.

Result seen from bottom
Squash it down

The open end should be at the bottom.
Fold one layer up in half
unfold

Fold the bottom up to the crease line you just made

Fold up over the crease line

Fold the left flap to the right- as you would a page in a book

Fold the right edge to the center crease

Fold the flap to the left as you would a page in a book

Result

Repeat steps 8 to 10 on the opposite side

Repeat steps 1 to 10 on the remaining 3 small squares of paper

The pieces are now ready to be assembled

Insert one small piece so that it’s wings slide under the top layer of the 2 “kites” on the large paper

Pick up the flaps of 2 side of the “kites” and slide the peice in as far as it will go.
Fold the 3 points up.

Result

Slip the tip into the pocket at the bottom of the band, push in and re- crease

Result
Repeat steps 13 to 17 on remaining 3 sides

It is ready to be an ornament or picture frame
Just insert your picture

To create a dish insert your fingers and push out to shape it from the inside

.Your dish is ready to be filled with goodies
